Home made Plum jam from Freshwater Creek Cottages Plums.

On the way home from our trip to Torquay I popped in to see Marissa at Freshwater Creek Cottages and she kindly offered for us to take some Plums of her massive orchard.  We all picked some and here is the result!

Plum Jam
1kg Plums
1kg caster sugar
Juice of 1 Lemon

Chop and de-pip the Plums. Boil until reduced.  Add sugar and Lemon juice for around 20 mins keep stiring.  Pour into sterilized (heated) jars.

We carried a few each back to the car.

Chopped up to discover we had 1 kilo, plenty enough for jam.

Cooking, cooking, boiling and stiring!

    1. I didn't do anything, I was too tired from cleaning and knowing I was going back home to clean again, lol, Jordans the keen garden helper at the moment.
